Juno was selected to manage the transportation and delivery of press machines, a project that required detailed planning, flexible execution, and close coordination with all stakeholders.
The project began with collaborative planning sessions to establish a comprehensive load plan, including cargo dimensions, weights, pickup schedules, and delivery requirements. Throughout the process, Juno's Project Cargo team worked closely with the client, carriers, and port personnel to ensure every phase of the project was carefully managed.
A key challenge involved coordinating deliveries around the client's installation schedule. Because the equipment needed to arrive in a specific sequence and available storage space at the job site was limited, Juno developed a customized transportation plan that aligned with the installation timeline. The first phase of cargo was delivered directly to the site, while the remaining equipment was strategically stored at the Port of Savannah until the client was ready to receive it.
To support this approach, Juno negotiated storage arrangements with the port, securing favorable terms while ensuring the cargo remained accessible for future delivery. Our team continuously adjusted schedules and coordinated transportation resources to maintain project momentum without disrupting installation activities.
Throughout the project, the team provided daily shipment visibility and proactive communication. Detailed status reports informed the client of completed deliveries, cargo loaded for transport, and equipment awaiting dispatch. The team also coordinated directly with port authorities to manage crane appointments, loading schedules, and cargo staging activities.
To ensure efficient delivery operations, drivers were provided with detailed site instructions, including facility maps, designated entry points, staging areas, and unloading locations. This level of preparation helped streamline on-site operations and minimize delays during delivery.
