About Bernie’s Book Bank

Bernie's Book Bank is a nonprofit organization founded in 2009 by Brian Floriani, inspired by his father, Dr. Bernard P. Floriani, whose lifelong love of reading shaped his path to a better future. What began as a small effort quickly grew—distributing 140,000 books in its first year, 350,000 in its second, and reaching 1 million books by year three.

Today, the organization has delivered more than 29 million high-quality, age-appropriate books to children in under-resourced communities. Through a scalable and sustainable model, Bernie’s Book Bank provides eight books each year to children from birth through sixth grade, helping them build their own home libraries and fostering a lifelong love of reading. Powered by dedicated volunteers, generous donors, and committed partners, the organization is driven by a simple belief: better futures begin with books.

Empowering Futures Through Books

At Juno, we believe in the power of learning and the importance of access. That is why we came together to support Bernie’s Book Bank, an organization dedicated to creating pathways to success through book ownership. By providing free quality books to children in local communities, Bernie’s Book Bank helps build personal libraries, strengthen reading skills, and inspire a lifelong love of learning. With the support of volunteers, donors, and partners like us, they are transforming children’s stories one book at a time.

2025

“When you give a book, you give a child hope, imagination, and the chance to dream bigger. Each page becomes a gateway to new worlds, creative ideas, and even the art that shapes our world.”
